A major Quebec publishing house sent me its letter of refusal, for Les Mailles sanguines. However, it includes a comment from a literary advisor, who suggests that I correct, but does not indicate where, the clumsiness and “outgrowths.” I am asked to come back later with a second version.
I would be happy to work on this text, but the letter is vague. Once again, we are talking about a moving story. I take a deep breath and will look at this text with a different eye. I’m nervous.
